Stubborn facts

"Facts are stubborn things."
- John Adams

We have to agree with our second president on this one. Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline are quickly learning how stubborn facts can be.

It’s only been a few short weeks since we exposed the Gulf airlines for receiving more than $42 billion in subsidies from their governments over the last decade, and they’re already running into more trouble. Georgetown University adjunct professor Dr. Rob Britton just released an analysis outlining how this ‘stunning and unprecedented’ financial government support completely upends the aviation marketplace.

We broke down those subsidies and exactly how they’re putting U.S. jobs at risk. Get the facts on Gulf carrier subsidies.

When experts like Dr. Britton come to the same conclusion as us, it makes it clear this issue must be addressed. That is why we’re asking the U.S. government to open consultations and seek a freeze on new Gulf carrier flights to the U.S. until this issue is resolved once and for all.

As long as we keep pushing the White House to open consultations with Qatar and the UAE, we’re doing our job – we just need to make sure the U.S. government does theirs and acts on the facts.

Thanks for reading.
