Partnership for Open & Fair Skies Statement on Kevin Mitchell’s Attacks on U.S. Airlines and Workers

Washington, D.C. (September 29, 2017) – In response to Kevin Mitchell’s daily mudslinging against U.S. airlines and American workers, the Partnership for Open & Fair Skies released the following statement:

“Another day, another screed by the mouthpiece of the Gulf carriers. It’s time for Mr. Mitchell to come clean and to disclose who is paying him for his daily assault against the U.S. airlines and their workers,” said Jill Zuckman, chief spokesperson for the Partnership for Open & Fair Skies. “Mr. Mitchell is a treasure trove of misinformation as he vainly attempts to deter the Trump administration from enforcing our international agreements and defending American jobs. While his concern for our airlines’ ‘government affairs priorities’ is touching, we think he should get his own house in order and register as a foreign agent under the FARA Act before he issues another sanctimonious, stream of consciousness missive.”

“And to set the record straight, enforcing Open Skies agreements in regards to subsidy violations concerning passenger carriers would not have any impact on cargo services.”
